Villa Mongoose is one of several villa complexes of different owners at Forest Dream Resort in Diani Beach and combines the benefits of a vacation home with the services of a hotel, so you and your fellow travelers can look forward to an unforgettable stay.

Each owner acts for themselves, some rent out their residence, but some owners live at Forest Dream Resort privately all year round. The cottages are very generously distributed throughout the resort, so our Villa Mongoose is located on 8200 m² of tropically landscaped grounds.

Villa Mongoose - a dream accommodation in the middle of paradise

Our Villa Mongoose is an ensemble of a main building (consisting of three houses) and two outbuildings in Kenya in Diani Beach.
The interesting roof construction, which extends over all three houses, is made of makuti (palm leaves) typical for the country and provides a pleasant indoor climate on the upper floor.
There are a total of 10 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, an approximately 130 square meter semi-open living/dining area, a fully equipped shared kitchen with storage, a large swimming pool and a private tennis court for our guests. In our newly built water tower, which feeds the plant with water at all times, is embedded on the ground floor our utility room with washing machine and dryer. We are happy to help you if you need private fresh laundry.
The entire area of the villa ensemble has a size of 8,200 m², the total living area of the villa complex is about 500 m².
Upstairs, the window openings in each room do not have window glass, but a protective net against mosquitoes. That is what is special about these rooms, because here you can experience the nature of the Forest Dream Resort up close…

The resort

The villa ensemble Mongoose is one of several villas in the “Forest Dream Resort”, which is shared by different owners.

You will find 4 species of monkeys living freely in our resort. Bushbabies, vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys and baboons, which are called “baboons” here in Kenya.

However, we ask you not to feed the monkeys!

They have their natural habitat here and eat what nature offers them. Now when we humans feed them like cats, it has a very negative effect on the behavior of the animals. Please do not leave any food outside unattended, otherwise the monkeys will come and see it as their prey and become aggressive if you try to take it away again.

Since the Bushbabies are on the one hand shy and on the other hand nocturnal, one hardly gets to see them.

The entire resort is approximately 4 hectares in size and is connected to the Kenyan power grid. It also has its own 12-meter-deep cysterne that supplies the entire area with water. The access road is well developed and the path to the resort is illuminated at night. The fencing and the access through the closed entrance gate, manned by our own security 24/7, gives you security. Thus, you can easily stay anywhere in the resort and use it for small walks, for example. Closed-toed shoes in the evening are recommended, however, because you can’t see the smaller critters on the ground at dusk/night.
